Enrolment at Christchurch East School
All students who live within our Zone are entitled to enrol at our school.
Below you will find information relating to the enrolment process for your child.
Please note, there is a different enrolment process depending on whether your child is turning 5 and starting school for the first time, OR, your child is not starting school for the first time.
Please be sure to follow the correct enrolment process so that your application can be treated as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Proof of residency within the school zone is required.

School Zone
To avoid overcrowding, or the likelihood of overcrowding, the board of Christchurch East School has adopted an enrolment scheme that has been approved by the Secretary for Education.
Under this scheme, students will be enrolled if they live within the home zone described below.
Amendment commences 22 July 2024
Addresses on both sides of boundary roads are considered in-zone unless specified otherwise.
Starting from the intersection of Bealey Avenue and Fitzgerald Avenue:
• South on west side only of Fitzgerald Avenue to Avonside Drive
• East on Avonside Drive to Stanmore Road
Including Avonside Drive addresses between Stanmore Road and Trent Street
• South on Stanmore Road to Gloucester Street
Including all addresses on Lychgate Close and Trinity Lane
Including Armagh Street addresses between Stanmore Road and Trent Street
• East on Gloucester Street to England Street
• South on the west side only of England Street to Hereford Street
• West on Hereford Street to Stanmore Road
• South on Stanmore Road to Cashel Street
• East on Cashel Street to Nursery Road
Including Cashel Street addresses up to and including 480 Cashel Street on the south side
and all 471 Cashel Street addresses on the north side
• South on Nursery Road to Tuam Street
• West on the north side only of Tuam Street to Phillips Street
• West on Tuam Street to Fitzgerald Avenue
