Reporting Through Hero
At Christchurch East, we believe that parents and whānau play an important role in their child’s education.
Reporting at Christchurch East is primarily done through our Student Management System, Hero.
Work samples and reflections will be added throughout the year. You will also be able to access what your child’s current learning goals are and gain some insight into how they are progressing within the New Zealand Curriculum.
As a school, we also report to parents through PLP meetings at the beginning of year, then three-way conferencing mid-year. These meetings are designed to provide whānau, students, and teachers the opportunity to ask questions about their child’s learning and development and for us to learn more about your child in order to support their learning more effectively.
Parents are also welcome to arrange a meeting with their child’s teacher at any point to discuss their child’s progress.
